Austin Hall

Austin Hall - Co-Owner and Head Team Coach

Intrepid Gymnastics was started in 2016 by Austin Hall who wanted to offer the mid-south, Desoto County area a safe and comfortable environment to teach the sport of gymnastics and tumbling.

 

Austin has competed in gymnastics since the age of 5  and enjoys coaching and helping the kids reach new skills and goals.  Austin has a passion for gymnastics and has over 10 years of gymnastics coaching experience.  

 

He is also a recent graduate from the University of Memphis with a degree in Health Services Administration.

Interesting fact - Austin is rebuilding a resto-mod 1965 Ford Mustang with a 5.0 litre Coyote engine.  He also loves Subway chocolate chip cookies.

Katelyn Wofford

Katelyn Hall - Director of Recreational Gymnastics & Team Coach

Katelyn is a former gymnast, cheerleader, and tumbler. She is currently enrolled at the University of Memphis where she studies Pre-Dental. She is married to Coach Austin Hall, and they have two puppies. Katelyn started coaching at the age of 14. While coaching preschool she realized her love for coaching. Katelyn coaches gymnasts from preschool ages to level 3 competitive gymnastics

 

Katelyn has the following certifications from USAG: U100: Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction, U101: Safety & Risk Management, U200: Development Coaches Course: Sport Science, and W200: Development Coaches Course: Hands on Training.

 

Her passion is working with children to teach not only gymnastics, but life skills.

 

Interesting fact - Katelyn is obsessed with the color Grey, loves french fries and shopping.

Abbie Gascon

Jourdan Wofford - Team Coach

Jourdan is a level eight competitive gymnast. Jourdan has been involved in gymnastics since she as five years old. Jourdan has coached all levels of gymnastics and now enjoys teaching our basic through advanced gymnastics and our tumbling classes. She is currently enrolled at Hernando High School as a Sophomore. Outside of the gym Jourdan has been involved in pole vaulting and volleyball. 

 

Fun Fact: Jourdan and Katelyn are sisters. Jourdan has a dog named Bo, and he's the cutest dog ever!

Christine Frank - Coach

Christine is a former competitive gymnast and cheerleader. After coaching gymnastics for a few years she earner her BS in Elementary Education form St. Louis University. Christine went on to teach 2nd grade in the classroom setting for 7 years. Christine is married and has 5 amazing children, which she is blessed to be able to home school. She is very active in her children's home school co-op where she has taught grades K- Highschool. Christine has also serves as coordinator and leader for her daughter' American Heritage Girls troop. Christine is very excited to continue her love of teaching at Intrepid!

Abbie Gascon

Christy Lott - Coach

Christy was a competive gymnast at Tupelo Academy of Gymnastics from the ages of seven to ten. She went on to be a state champion cheerleader with Water Valley High School. After high school, Christy attended Kent State university and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degee. Christy currently has a fashion merchandising degree, and she works in that field. Christy has a four year old daughter named Piper and a  Siamese mix cat named Dimond.

 

Fun Fact: After college Christy's first dream job she worked as a menswear buyer and traveled to trade shows in NYC, Vegas, and Dallas. She is now able to persue her other dream job as a gymnastics coach.

Ashlyn Mueller - Team Coach

Donald Holmes - Director of Tumbling

Donald is from Southaven, MS and brings over 30 years of tumbling and cheerleading experience to Intrepid. He started his gymnastics career in 1986 as a member of, and state champion for, Memphis Center of Gymnastics and cheered in college at Morehouse College and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He started his cheerleading coaching career in 1994 at Our Gym Inc in Southaven, MS. He has also coached at the Academy of Gymnastics, Premier Athletics, ICE 4 Christ Athletics, Conxion, LRP Studios and was with Southaven Wildcats from 2002-2004, winning over 20 national championships including UCA, WSA, Cheersport and Athletic Championships. Donald has lead and facilitated high school, all star and collegiate camps and is USASF credentialized in Levels 1-5 in Tumbling and Building. He has former cheerleaders that have cheered for, or currently cheer for the following colleges and universities: Carson Newman, Delta State, Jackson State University, MS State, Northwest Community College, OK Baptist University, University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), University of Memphis, University of Southern Mississippi and Tulane University. Donald was most recently was announced as the assisted coach for Northwest Community College and the cheer coach for two local high school squads. Donald is married to Erica Holmes and they have three children; Donald Jr, Jocelyn and Jonathan.

Jon Hall - Co-Owner

As Austin's father, he has been a gymnastics dad for many years and was also the President of the Wimbleton Gymnastics Booster Club.

Interesting fact - Jon is originally from southern California where his parents worked for North American Aviation and NASA's Apollo program.  He and Austin both enjoy going to Indy Car and Formula1 races, and playing golf.
