Intrepid Gymnastics Successful in Debut Meet

Knoxville, TN – January 16, 2017 – Horn Lake’s own Intrepid Gymnastics traveled to Knoxville, TN this past weekend for their first official meet as a gym and came home with a lot of hardware.

“Go Big or Go Home”, isn’t that what Oprah says? This weekend, Austin Hall, co-owner of Intrepid Gymnastics at 1741 Nail Road in Horn Lake took on that challenge with his girl’s competitive team. In their first competitive meet as a team, Hall took his team to one of the biggest meets in the country. The Ozone Invitational, held at the Knoxville Convention Center, expected over 3,500 gymnasts (Men’s, Women’s and Trampoline & Tumbling) from over 15 states. Intrepid was the only gym representing the Magnolia State at the meet.

Hall’s competitive girl’s gymnastics team at this weekend’s meet were Adalyn Callahan (9), Abbie Gascon (17), Amerika Hernandez (14), Callie Jones (10), Dylan Miller (8), Lauren Robinson (12), Callie Sanders (10), and Jourdan Wofford (14).

Intrepid Gymnastics opened their doors as a brand new, startup gymnastics training facility on Nail Road only a few months ago on September 11, 2016. Austin Hall, who co-owns the gym with his parents, Jon and Christi Hall, wanted to offer the mid-south, Desoto County area a safe and comfortable environment to teach the sport of gymnastics and tumbling. Intrepid is the only full size gymnastics training facility in Desoto County which is fully heated and cooled and includes all new gymnastics equipment. Austin has competed in gymnastics since the age of 5 and enjoys coaching and helping the kids reach new skills and goals. He is also a recent graduate from the University of Memphis.
